Dr. Tanvir Ahmed is a highly trained and highly skilled Consultant Surgeon specializing in General, Laparoscopic, and Colorectal Surgery. Driven by a career objective to provide exemplary patient-centered care, he focuses on restoring function and improving the quality of life for patients with complex surgical conditions.
He completed his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in 2009. He then pursued rigorous post-graduate training, achieving dual fellowships from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS): FCPS in General Surgery (2020) and a highly specialized FCPS in Colorectal Surgery (2026).
Dr. Ahmed's extensive clinical journey spans over 15 years. He started his career with an internship at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, followed by a foundational 5-year tenure as an RMO & Clinical Staff in Surgery at Square Hospitals Ltd., Dhaka. He subsequently served as an Assistant Registrar at Faridpur Medical College Hospital and as a Registrar in the Department of General Surgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ahmed is an active academician and researcher with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on advanced surgical techniques like Diamond Flap Anoplasty and primary inguinal hernia repair trials. He leverages his extensive training and research to contribute positively to multidisciplinary teams, ultimately improving the lives of those in need of critical surgical care.
